The Big Plane Ride
The Lollback Family left Brisbane today so we could go on a holiday to New Zealand, the first stop, Auckland. At the airport we saw an interesting statue of a shearer holding a sheep between his legs and shearing it, we were pretty confident we would see some sheep shearing in New Zealand so we decided to take a photo of James & Jennifer sitting next to the Shearer to get right into the spirit.
We discovered another interesting display to watch demonstrating kinetic energy. James and Jennifer were very satisfied to watch the balls run along the tracks, whoosh down slides, spin in circles and fly through the air to rejoin the track, what a great activity to help pass the time waiting for the plane to depart.
We collected our New Zealand money from the airport and then we boarded the plane and commenced our journey to Auckland. The flight was very comfortable, we were spoilt with salmon or chicken lunches with a NZ ice cream for dessert.
We arrived in Auckland and caught a bus to our holiday home at the Oaks Residences. The view from our balcony was fantastic, the sky tower to the left, brilliantly lit and the harbour all around.
